GETTING STARTED
What is Pumpt?
Pumpt is an AI-powered marketplace that connects you with vetted, local service providers — from plumbers and electricians to cleaners and decorators. Instead of searching directories or waiting for callbacks, you simply describe what you need in plain language (or in your own language) and our AI handles the matching, scoping, pricing, and booking for you in seconds.
Where is Pumpt currently available?
Beta item — update when launching new geographies. Pumpt is currently in beta in Chelsea and Fulham (postcodes SW3, SW6, and SW10). We're starting here to make sure the service is excellent before expanding. If you're outside these areas, you can join our waitlist and we'll let you know when we launch nearby.
How do I book a service?
Just download the Pumpt app, open a conversation with our AI, and describe what you need in your own words — no forms, no categories. The AI will ask a few quick questions to scope the job, match you with an available vetted provider, and confirm the price and timing before you commit.
Can I use Pumpt in my language?
Yes. Our AI understands and responds in over 32 languages, including English, Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, and many more. Simply type or speak naturally in whatever language you're most comfortable with.
PRICING & PAYMENT
How does pricing work? Will I know the cost upfront?
For most jobs, Pumpt provides a fixed price before you confirm the booking — so you always know what you're paying with no surprises. For larger or more complex jobs that require a detailed assessment, we provide a price range and get providers to quote, presenting the options to you for approval before anything is confirmed. All prices are confirmed in writing before you commit.
Is there a fee to use Pumpt as a customer?
No. You simply pay the service price shown at booking — there are no platform fees, sign-up charges, or hidden costs added on top. Our fees are included in the final price you pay.
When am I charged?
We authorise the payment amount at the point of booking confirmation, then charge the payment at the end of the job with your approval. Pumpt uses PCI-DSS compliant payment processing — we never store your card details directly.
PROVIDERS & QUALITY
How are service providers vetted?
Every provider on Pumpt goes through our verification process before they can accept jobs. This includes: – Identity verification — photo ID plus live video confirmation – Trade licence checks — Gas Safe Register for gas engineers, NICEIC for electricians, and equivalent bodies for other trades – Review of qualifications and certifications relevant to their services Verified providers carry a Pumpt Verified badge on their profile. Only providers who pass these checks are matched with customers.
What happens if I'm not happy with the work?
After every job, you'll be asked to rate and review the provider. If something goes wrong or you're unhappy with the outcome, you can raise a concern through the app. Pumpt's support team will assist in mediating between you and the provider to reach a resolution. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for full details of our dispute process.
Can I request the same provider again?
Yes. If you've had a great experience with a provider, you can request them directly for future bookings. Subject to their availability, Pumpt will prioritise matching you with them.
CANCELLATIONS
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
Yes, you can cancel or reschedule through the app. Our cancellation policy has three tiers based on how much notice you give: – More than 24 hours' notice — no charge – Less than 24 hours' notice — a partial cancellation fee may apply – Same-day or no-show — a higher cancellation fee applies Full details are set out in our Terms and Conditions.
